The flu outbreak has hit the tri-states leaving many people home in bed, and small businesses worried how it might affect sales.
Business owners like Joyce Kuse who owns the salon?A Cut Above in Quincy, says they've had some cancellations because clients have been sick.
?Kuse says they haven't had any major problems yet, but it could hurt business if the outbreak gets worse.
"We've been lucky the employees have not been ill this year. It has been pretty good so far, but if some of them were sick and let's say they had?15 customers, 20?customers that day, that would definitely lower productivity," said Joyce Kuse.
Kuse wants to remind her customers that if they are sick with the flu they should just reschedule their appointment for when they get better.
